Though every Unicorn/Pegasus can control every one of their elements, each horse will either have ultimate ability over one, and be weak in everything else, or mediocre ability over all. We (staff) will decide whether or not you are a master, and which power you have mastered.

 Character Rules
« Result #3 on Jul 16, 2006, 12:54am »

1) Only Stallions may claim a land, but the mares tend to have more authority in the Herd.

2)Mares may be forced to follow a stallion, but they may also run away. It is up to the players.

3)Fights will be judged as follows.

•You have 4 attacks and 3 defends.
•A designated Staff will judge as attack-->defend, attack--judge[\i]
•You may not powerplay. If you are struck, there is no taking it back.

Only Stallions may fight, and a member of the Staff will be warned of the battle before hand. They can be held anywhere.

4) An Admin will determine the basic stats of your foal.

[i]i.e. Coloring, height, and talents.

5)Your posts must be at least 8 lines long.

6) Your character must fit their breeds description. Fluffy the Pegasus can't have a bubbly and friendly personality.

7) No cross breeds [ PegasusxUnicorn] will not be accepted. This means they will not fall in love with one another, and they will not breed one another. If they do, the foal will die. The password for unicorn is creta

 Legions
« Result #4 on Jul 16, 2006, 12:43am »

Unicorn: Unicorns tend to be darker colors, though lighter horses are not uncommon. They are well muscled, strong and toned, from a normal life upon the ground. They live amongst the forest and trees, where food is abundant. The Unicorns have a more likeable personality. Unicorn are kind and caring, and very valiant, for reasons most would expect. Their sense of companionship is strong, and have a hard time being singled out. Their horns are long and thin, and match their pelt coloring. They have the ability to control such things as the Weather and the Wind, anything that has to do with the Sky.

Pegasus: The Pegasus could not be more different. Their colors tend to be lighter, though as the Unicorn, a dark colored Pegasus do occur. Their limbs and bodies are thin and light, and not very strong. Their wings are large and feathered, their main means of transportation. The group has great endurance, for on the ground they are useless with their frail bodies. Pegasi tend to be very aloof and vain, loving to be the centers of attention. Although, they are also stern. They are quite proud of their "beauty," even if they do not possess such. The Pegasi like power, and put little faith in the saying "you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar." They have the ability to control such things as Water, Stone, Earth, and Animal.

.The Past Bleeds.

* There have always been those of the Equus. The ones who flee with feet of stone and tresses of wind. Their slender legs and cunning minds let them survive through many ages, evolving from small and insignificant to large and mystifying. But of course, all things must evolve, and change. Forever and the rest of time. As things do, the Equines began to evolve.
* On and epic night, one of sleet and hail, lightning and thunder, two were born. Twins. Rare altogether in itself, the survived yet still. But one not normal, such was seen as he came to life. He was of the purest white, the dirt from the earth never staining his alabaster hide. From his back grew awkward bulges, nothing but certain deformities. The other was of bay, his coat gleaming almost to gold. From first glance he was perfect, and all mourned the most certain loss of the moonlit foal. The bay was dubbed Invidus, a strong name for one whose future was certain to be nothing but good fortune. The other, so small and unlucky, was dubbed Pegasus, his dam bidding the curse that was set upon her babe to flee the rest of them.
* As thee days turned to weeks, Invidus grew stronger. Yet little grew on young Pegasus, nothing but the deformities that graced his back. Though surprised he had thrived so long, the herd kept him distant, fearing his difference. Young and naive, Pegasus ventured off, barely able to survive without his Dam.
* As he survived on his own, the tiny foal noticed great changes within himself. He needed to fly, swiftly. No other of his kind had ever thought this. Pegasus needed to feel the air, this he knew. But how? Other changes had also begun to occur. The bulges on his back grew feathered, and large. The colt feared them, yet knew they were his key. As they shaped and formed, his body began to flourish, legs growing long and muscled, body growing sleek and toned. Soon, he was no longer a child, and his deformity no longer a burden. He quickly learned to fly with his great alabaster wings, reveling in the feeling of the wind whistling through his great feathers.
* Invidus, contrarily, was not so fortunate. As he grew strong, he was doted upon. He became kind and valiant, his sense of honor greater than many had ever seen. He was a hero in the making. But all was not well within his world. A large bump had begun to grow forth from his forehead, hurting more with each day. Seeing the way his twin was shunned, Invidus feared revealing this problem. And so he kept it concealed beneath his tassel, enduring the pain and hoping nothing would come of it. But come it did.
* As Pegasus's wings grew, the bump upon Invidus became solid, its end becoming dagger sharp. No amount of forelock could conceal such a monstrosity, and soon everyone spoke of Invidus's pointed oddity that grew from betwixt his eyes.
It was only about an ears length long, but it was certainly there, and none could believe it. Their beloved Invidus, the hope of their herd, was different.
* Pegasus, no longer afraid of himself, began to travel back to his birthplace, his wings carrying him swiftly on the wind. His eyes set upon the familiar valley from which he was shunned, his gut churning with apprehension. "What if they cast me away once more?" ran through his mind regularly. In the dark of the night he alighted to Earth, his limbs too tired to hide any longer. Laying down, Pegasus allowed his wings to curl about him, sheltering him from a certain morning of chaos.
* By daylight, all had awoken to a feathered figure, his face hidden, they feared him to be another bearing of bad news. As the voices tittered around him, Pegasus awoke with a start, his wings flaring out as he readied his mind. At the shocking site of the young colt they had neglected so long ago, the herd fell into a hush. So sickly he had once been, now he was strong and powerful, equipped with more than they. Realizing, for the first time, he was better. From the depths of the herd, came Invidus, the mumbles of his siblings name drawing him near. Eyes rounded, ,but not afraid, he faced his brother. For the first time, they were one and the same. Both changed, one with a spear protruding from his crania, the other with limbs sprouting from his back. "Pegasus..." Invidus mumbled with a mixture of happiness and disbelief, "we are brothers, you and I."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Now accepted, Pegasus flourished with attention, his past family in awe of him. He was the new hope of the herd. For the first time in his life, he was wanted. But, alas, for the first time in Invidus's life, he was a bystander as another was the center of attention. Pegasus grew conceited with the newfound doting, and Invidus grew jealous. Quite openly they fought with one another, Pegasus's aloof manner bringing them to blows very quickly. It soon became a constant war zone between the two. They could not speak to one another without yelling. In fits of anger, Pegasus unleashed powers he never thought were possible. As he screamed earth moved and water would churn. Invidus, striking back, would fight until he was sore, the rains crashing down from overhead, wind blowing and whistling.
* Fearing for their own safety, the herd cast the two from their herd, sending with them any who would agree with their recklessness. Quickly the groups split, venturing apart, but always conjoining again. The femme who had followed by Invidus's side soon began to grow a horn, while the followers of Pegasus grew wings faster than even he himself had. As the two smalls herds split and met, the rivalry also grew. Terrible battles ensued, brother against brother. Their gifts made them all the more dangerous.
* As one battle wore on, it had led them to a cliff, crumbling and ancient. As Pegasus stove off his brothers great horn, he raised the Earth beneath him, unaware of its instability. Before he could raise his wings, he and his comrades fell, as did Invidus and his mate. Unable to regain control, the winged ones fell as any other normal horse would.
* Once more voices awoke Pegasus, and all others who slept around him. Warm sands heated their bodies, their wings limp and wet. Scrambling to their feet, Invidus and Pegasus came face to face with more horses, normal ones. Invidus's mate raised her weary head, eyes wide that they had survived, and yet Pegasus's heart crumbled as his was no where to be found. Once more he was alone, while his brother had all that was dear.
* And so the herds formed, the residents of the island choosing their sides, gaining their powers. Pegasus, as vain as he had become, named his followers after himself, while Invidus strayed from such notions. The Pegasi taking refuge in the mountain of Volaticus, the Unicorn in the forests of Cornutus.

.Dream.

Clouds of mist swirl about you, enveloping your limp figure in a gentle breeze that sends your dream past reality and into oblivion of unforeseen sensations and scents. You glance to the skies above you, the sun finally showing through the thick wall of unfelt mist- revealing blues and purples that stream across the sky endlessly. It seems like perfection- the pure serenity and forbidden leisure as you try stepping forward towards the beams of light before you, the weight of your fore seeming effortless. But suddenly you are cast downwards into a violent drop towards nowhere. You panic, your heart wrenching out of your chest in fear and realization that this is no dream- only a nightmare. And then, you feel the comforting touch of water seconds before you collapse into the deep liquid. You try to breathe in the hydrogen, lungs screaming for air as you flounder below the water in painful exhaustion. To your immense relief you feel yourself pushing towards the surface- and as you break, the fresh taste of air bounds you tightly as you begin kicking towards the distant shore now visible beyond the gently crashing waves.
White sand and heavy foliage greet you as you collapse onto the shore, your sides heave with every breath- your tongue bitter with the taste of seawater, eyes drained of every last ounce of color before you close them. Slowly you blink, readjusting to the brightly-colored land you now rest upon. A shadow runs across your face and you stumble to your feet clumsily. Glancing up, you only notice the clouds now resting in front of the sun- moments before the touch of feathers moves along your back. You shiver in both delight and nerve as you glance behind you quickly. Nothing. Slowly craning your head forward, you step backwards into the water, stumbling nervously. Her eyes meet yours sharply- no glimpse of warmth can be seen, only the stern look of a protective guardian as she confronts a violator trespassing on her untouched ground. You attempt a response but no words are issued as she speaks to you first, her language one combined of many; beautiful and lulling. You feel your legs giving way as you listen to her words, every feeling you have ever had all melting into once fleeting moment of complete bliss.
“You have arrived at the land of unknown beauty.” She begins, you beg her silently to continue speaking- her words flowing with comfort and belonging. “You come with a destiny to follow, a choice to make, and a life to begin. Here you will choose between walking upon the shores of this island; or soaring the skies of heaven. You have but now to decide if you want to become one of myself, of the Pegasi. You will learn to control the earth and it’s gracious majesties. The forces of stone, water, plant and animal.” She pauses her speaking, pearled wings fluttering in the gentle breeze as the Pegasus glances towards the trees behind her. There she stands silent, stationary. You become impatient, wanting to learn even more about this strange and beautiful land. You step forward, only to catch her quick look of warning. Looking down shamefully, you remain where you are, watching the line of trees intently for the object or figure the mare awaits for. And suddenly you feel a slight pounding upon the sand, you look around wildly, afraid of what could possibly be headed your way. But then, everything stops. Silence once again. You look back to the mare, her gaze hasn’t moved. Your head tilts to the side in confusion before you begin to see something moving amongst the thicket of trees. A dark figure steps out from the trees, you search her back for any sign of wings- and sigh with relief. Finally, a familiar sight. But as you glance at her face, your smile quickly becomes a frown as you catch sight of a long, elegant horn growing from beneath her long forelock. She immediately looks right at you, and to your great surprise, smiles warmly. Her voice is not as sharp as the previous, but just as serious as she continues on with the story, just as she had been listening all along… “Or you may choose to remain here, along the earth’s shores. A Unicorn; where you will be taught to become partners with the sky, its weather patterns, and its ability to form any kind of comfort or fear.” The mare smiles again, this time towards the ocean, momentarily before she turns back to you, her face now frowning, eyes narrowed. “It is now your turn to open the first page in your new life, to close the last page in your old. Your turn to create your own dream, upon the shores of this strange but beautiful island.”

What will your journey be?
